Senior Center
“I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler.” If that fits you but you would still like to learn to draw or paint, come join the new class being taught by Charles Sandifer. This is a “starts from scratch” class for beginners only. The class will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 9:00-10:50 AM in Room 118. A minimum of 3 people is needed to hold the class. . Supplies are not needed for this first section, and only limited supplies will be needed in later classes.

Beginning Quilting
Come join the quilting class. They have large tables to work on, fabrics, irons and ironing boards, and sewing machines. You will learn quilting terms, tools, patterns, and fabrics, simple 4 or 9 patch pieces, or T-shirt quilts. If you are ambitious, you can make quilts from baby size to king-size bed covers, with shams to match. This group will gladly accept donations of fabric, trim, thread and other sewing notions, as well as sewing machines. The class is free to all members of McWherter Center. They meet onTuesday from 12:30 PM -2:50 PM.
