There are many reasons to practice Tai Chi: increased balance, flexibility, coordination, range of motion, strength, reduced stress, sounder sleep, improved concentration and better health.Tai Chi's gentle, circular movements bring what the Chinese call "harmony" to both mind and body. That's why the Mayo Clinic describes Tai Chi as "meditation in motion" and Harvard University describes it as "medication in motion". Hypertension or Parkinson's finds it a "gentle friend. But what I love most about Tai Chi is that it feels so good. I've trained and certified with Dr. Paul Lam of Sydney, Australia and Ping Zhen Cheng of Beijing, China, and it is an amazing joy to be able to share this with others.
