FacebookLucille McWherter Senior Center

The Lucille McWherter Senior Center opened in October, 1989, to serve the aging community of East Memphis. It was named after the mother of then Tennessee Governor, Ned McWherter, who supported the center until his
death in April, 2011, and whose family has continued that support.
As a City of Memphis facility, it is under the adminstration of
Memphis Parks.
